If you want to be part of a far-from-stuffy company with lots of opportunities, this may be the place for you. **Who We're Looking For:** MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR FOR THE MAXWELL HOTEL IN SEATTLE, WA. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all preventative maintenance and repair of all areas of the hotel are completed in a timely and unobtrusive manner to ensure that guests receive an excellent Pineapple Experience. **Essential Functions:** * Ensure maintenance of hotel properties is performed in a timely manner ensuring guest experience is not negatively impacted. * Supervise, coach and mentor maintenance staff. Assign and review work. * Provide ongoing coaching and feedback. * Ensure that all projects for maintenance are completed in a timely manner. * Collaborate with Department Managers or General Managers on various projects and major repair needs. * Ensure that materials are ordered for all area property maintenance needs. * Perform diagnostics to determine problems and find workable repair solutions. * Maintain interior and exterior of hotel by ensuring all minor and routine wall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities is performed in a timely manner. * Ensure all regular maintenance and repairs to heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment is performed * Ensure preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment with minimum downtime is performed. Including: kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms. * Perform work duties in accordance with company safety and security policies and procedures, as well as in accordance with posted OSHA, HazCom and Bloodborne Pathogen regulations and other applicable state and local federal regulations. **Qualifications & Skills /Abilities:** * Provide a "lead by example" approach in an effort to create a positive team culture. * Ability to effectively organize and plan the efforts of team members. * Ability to quickly assess situations and create effective resolutions to problems. * Proficient at fulfilling requests in a thorough and timely manner. * Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collaborative and diverse team dynamic. * Possess a passion to provide excellent customer service. * Excellent verbal and written business communication skills **Where You've Been:** We're looking for someone with a High School diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of three years trade-related and/or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and building maintenance with strong preventative maintenance background. Prefer if you have refrigeration, HVAC certification and previous supervisory experience. Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools doesn't hurt either. **When You're Here:** News flash: This is not a desk job. Be prepared to move around because more than half of the time you will be standing/sitting, carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and more. This position requires the ability to accommodate varying schedules (including nights, weekends and holidays) to fulfill the business needs of the hotel. Including after hours service calls as needed.
